At the IRA Club we make the process easy to open, fund and invest your Self Directed IRA as we strive to give our clients A+ service.
A Self Directed IRA is a retirement vehicle that allows you to invest in alternative assets tax-free or tax-deferred.
One of the most common alternative investments today is real estate. Many of our clients invest in rental properties, mobile homes, house flipping, undeveloped land and Airbnbs. Some other popular non-traditional assets include private lending, life settlements, precious metals and cell phone towers, just to name a few.
Self Directed IRAs give you the freedom and liberty to choose your investments.
There are a few ways you can open and fund your Self Directed IRA with the IRA Club.
Transfer your current IRA by completing an IRA to IRA Transfer Form. Upon receiving the form and a copy of your most recent statement, the IRA Club takes care of the rest. Meanwhile, you will work with our investment team to prepare for your chosen investment by completing an Investment Directions Form. Investment forms for real estate, private equity, tax liens, IRA LLCs, private lending, precious metals and REIT can be found under our Forms and Guides section.
Another way to fund your account is to rollover an old 401k, 403b, 457 or TSP. Contact your plan administrator and inform them that you want to transfer part or all of your funds to a Qualified Retirement Plan (an IRA). Dependent upon their plan guidelines, it typically takes 2-4 weeks for the funds to arrive. You will then be ready to invest.
Lastly, you can fund your account by making a contribution. Simply complete the IRA Club Deposit Form. We accept check, wire transfer/ACH or credit card. Additionally, there is the option for an automatic contribution. The majority of our clients do a mixture of the above.
The contribution limits for 2020 are as follows:
- 49 and under $6,000
- 50 to 70 1/2: $7,000
Our Fee Schedule is very competitive. We charge an annual fee of $135 and a one-time setup fee in the amount of $40. A minimum of $500 must remain in your account since all fees are deducted from your Self-Directed IRA account.
IRA Club offers no investments, products, or planning services. Therefore, please consult your attorney, tax professional, financial planner, and any other qualified person before making any investments.
